| The Internet Museum of Fine Arts is a database of more than
10,000 Old
Masters and other classical works compiled by Joseph Vernelle Phillips over a period of
approximately 50 years in an attempt to form a representative and world-class collection
of works by major and minor painters and sculptors. Although most of these works are still in
private hands, many have been acquired by some
of the world's most prestigious museums and collectors since they are suitable for
world-class museums. Illustrations are shown where
available. All fields are searchable. The description, where possible, includes:
